Why were my funds put on hold when I requested to book a trip?

When requesting to book a trip on BoatBooker, you are asked to submit your payment information.

Our payment processor checks to make sure the payment method is legitimate and that sufficient funds are available. If the bank approves the transaction, it gets authorized. This authorization puts the required funds on hold but doesn’t charge you yet.

If the captain accepts your request, you will be charged. Otherwise, BoatBooker will release the funds.
